STANDARD RODS

Toray-SOFICAR has developed carbon composite rods using high strength carbon and epoxy resin, notably for applications such as tendons in offshore oil platforms in ultra deep water. These can also be used in civil engineering for structures with stays or as a reinforcement when repairing old or degraded buildings.

HIGH THERMAL RESISTANCE RODS

HTR rods were developed by Toray-SOFICAR using high strength carbon and epoxy resin for specific applications at high tg (heat resistant).

 

CARBON LAMINATES

Carbon laminates have been developed by Toray-SOFICAR for civil engineering applications to significantly increase inertia or for reinforcement.

CARBON PAPER

Toray’s carbon fibre paper, “TGP-H” series, developed by Toray in Japan, is used as a Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) in Polymer Electrolyte, Direct Methanol and Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cells. The TGP-H series is recognised as a market leader for its superior handling, uniformity of thickness and uniformity of density.
